Tough Course, Aug 23, 2004

The course is nice and in excellent condition, but it is really tough. The fairways are very tight, normally playing between homes. The water from the lake comes into play on several holes and hitting long straight shots are a must. The greens are great and the course is always well manicured.

This course is challenging but easy. I have fun when I play at the Lake Kiowa golf course. I recently shot the lowest score in my golfing life. I love this course.

"Great old classic"
Classic course. Elevation changes make the course play longer than the yardage. Fast smooth greens can be treacherous. A nice variety of shots is required.

Liberty Country Club
"Great Condition and Layout"
This course has a beautiful layout and hole construction. Similar to the old "country club" style courses, this smaller operation club gets the job done with what must be a low budget because the course is just in outstanding shape. The bent-grass fairways look good all year round and maintain their grass even in the hot summer afternoons of August. They also had great deals available for play during the week and for people wanting to have an outing. I'm definitely going to play at the Liberty Country Club again.

River Forest Country Club
"what about the greens"
What makes river forest a difficult course is their greens.They can put the pin placements where it is possible to three and four putt greens even if you play it everyday.Slopping greens make every putt a challenge. They also have added a water hazard to #3 making it impossible to reach in 2.With the addition of new tee boxes and several holes with where you can knock it OB good luck for all you 10 handicappers to try and break 90 on you first couple rounds.
