This traditional course was built on undulating terrain, so you can expect many uneven lies. The fairways are narrow, and the greens are moderate in size and feature numerous subtle breaks. The signature hole is #8, a 512-yard, par 5, where you must shoot over water to the fairway, then up a dogleg right fairway to a large green. There are strategically-placed oak trees throughout the course, and many small lakes come into play as well. "GOLFWEEK" selected it 90th among "America's 100 Best Classical Courses" for 1999.

This course is impossible to get on to play unless you know someone, but it is well worth it. It is a tough play, but is the most beautiful course I have ever played. The greens are tough. The course is VERY well maintained. You feel like a "real" golfer playing here.

Frosty Valley is a golf course that gives a feeling of success in all parts of your game. Strategic pin locations give each shot to the green a different spin, and makes even the best person's short game be tested. As for the far hitters, the par 5's here are among far distances and have challenging obsticles just off to the side of the fairways, forcing you to hit with immense precision. The greens have tough breaks in them, making this course exciting and a fun place to visit. Frosty Valley also has a pro shop with a great amount of equipment that will suit any golfer.

Creekwood Golf Club
"Truest Greens Anywhere"
The greens at creekwood are the truest, most consistent of any in the area. Despite the relative shortness of the course, position is critical. You cannot "muscle" this course into submission. The staff is friendly and efficient and keeps play moving. Plenty of practice area.

Cherry Island Golf Course
"A NICE PLACE TO PLAY."
My experience at "THE ISLAND" has been wonderful. The course plays fair. By that I mean the greens are in good shape and they recover well from all the rounds that are played there. The fairways drain well after any rain. You can play all the irons in your bag. It has a couple of tricky holes. The staff is nice and inviting. I will be back for more.
