This is a difficult course that has new challenges every time you play it. There are many sand bunkers, mounds and moguls throughout the entire course. Large oak trees and a defined cut of rough line the fairways. There are two water hazards and many areas of preserved wetlands that come into play on many holes. Hole #18, a 405-yard, par 4, features a dogleg right fairway and a water hazard that must be carried on the approach to the green. The greens are somewhat sloped and reasonably fast. There are elevated tee boxes and greens throughout the course.

| Oakwood is a very challenging layout. Par is not easy to come by. The course is set among many old live oak and scrub oak trees. The course is under complete renovation during the summer of 2005. It is a track worthy of any golfers ability depending on the tees played. |
