This course is alongside the Intracoastal Waterway with the ocean one mile away. There are palm and pine trees that line the fairways. It is a very scenic course with an abundance of wildlife. Dick Wilson and Ward Northrup have done redesigns on this course. There is a nine hole rate available after 2:30 PM.

Good golf, good price, Mar 29, 2005

This is by no means a fabulous course, but it does offer a nice round at a nice price. They also make every attempt to keep the game moving at a good pace. I find the course to play a little easier than most (which may be why I like it).

Chaparral Country Club
"Basic golf outing"
In Bullhead City, the wind usually blows hard. This course is short, albeit somewhat challenging, because of the conditions played in. The fairways are unremarkable, the greens putt mostly true, although is tough to read. Usually putt the straight line and on the hard side to get them in. You won't need driver too often. Better than a kick in the head, but not the best golf around. Good practice.

Durand Eastman Golf Course
"Good golf for a low price"
This course is an excellent example of Robert Trent Jones' genius. The course is not long, by modern standards, but many holes have elevation changes which make even the shortest of holes interesting and challenging. It winds through a beautiful, heavily wooded section if Durand - Eastman Park and in and out of two hugh revines which makes even your poorest round a joy. Some of the greens feature Jones' unique mounding that makes you think an elephant or two was buried there. The green speeds are not consistent for hole to hole, which makes for some interesting decisions on the pace of your putt, but considering the amount of play the course receives they are usually in pretty good shape for a public course. There are few long holes on the course, but the ones that are long are really difficult to to par. The only complaints I have about the course are; the speed of play (there are many not very accomplished golfers that tend to slow things down) and when the weather is wet the holes in the lower parts of the course stay pretty wet because there seems to be a problem with drainage. All things considered, this course is one of the best values for my golfing dollar that I have ever encountered.

Three Eagles Golf Course
"Not a Gimmie"
This course at first glance seems very easy and short; however, once you get out there, you realize you were totally wrong. Great shot makers course. If you are a longer hitter, you may only pull out driver 6-8 times as the course requires you to shoot through narrow fairways for your second shot to hard dog leg holes. Very fun course.
