price fits the course, May 18, 2004

The greens are this courses defence. They are small and fast. Aim for the center. If you play smart and don't try to hit long you can score well. A score of Par is very good on all the par 3's. There are some short 4's. Don't be a hero. On the 5's a 3 wood is sometimes a better play. They are not reachable for the average hitter. (250 or less w/ driver) Many sharp doglegs in both directions. T placement is more important than distance. Good hot dogs and cold beer at the turn. Mats on driving range. Sand bunkers and practice putting green. No chipping. Not much for a Pro Shop due to county owned course. Listen to the tricks that the staff provide. They actually work. Try and hit it where they recommend. Easy to get to off route 9 in NJ. It won't be the best course you will play but it won't be the worst either. All in all you should have a good time for the price. $25-$45 walking.

Good course at a great price, Mar 16, 2004

Kind of hard to loose your ball on this wide open course. Must bring a good approach game to land these small, difficult greens. A great winter course, but I would rather play the local Monmouth County courses during the season.
