This is a well-maintained course that is enjoyable for most golfers. There are no parallel fairways, but they are open and tree lined. There are several water hazards and sand bunkers that come into play throughout the course.

A Gem In NW Illinois, May 22, 2004

I have played Lake Carroll numerous times. THe course always seems to be in good to great condition. You must bring every club in the bag, as this is a course that you will be trying some different shots. Not overly long or penal, but definitely more of a shot maker's course. The staff has always been courteous and a joy to deal with. I can't wait to be able to play there again.
