This hilly course is located near the Two River. There are numerous trees and a few ponds dotting the course. Six holes runs along the river's edge and three have dogleg fairways in the design. On hole #8, a 405-yard, par 4, players must hit their ball over water twice and the green is also surrounded by water on three sides. Undulating fairways and greens are common throughout.

Beautiful Classic Course, Jun 10, 2009

Lancaster Riverside is the hidden gem of northern MN. The course was built into the woods along the river and has breathtaking scenery. Golfers will see wildlife up close. It has a variety of holes that are challenging yet playable enough for all levels of golfers including families and kids. If you golf it, guaranteed you will be back!

Stevens Park Golf Course
"Classic Muny"
Stevens is only a few minutes from downtown. It's in a beautiful area and has some scenic views of Dallas. It's a classic muny and a good course to walk. There are many challenging holes and there are some very easy holes. Number 2 is a very short par 4 and is reachable from all of the tees. Number 12 is a short par 5 dog leg that is reachable in 2 but there are many well placed trees and an elevated green with a mean slope and you'll be happy if you get your 5. There are a few holes where you can hit your drive as far as you can but most take some strategy off the tee. On 17 you can hit 220 yards straight away or 140 yards to the right side of the fairway and both will leave an open short iron shot to the green... if you avoid two beautiful oaks and a wide creek on that tee shot. The par 3's are gorgeous and the two on the back are included in the 3 hardest on the back nine handicap chart. Stevens Park is a favorite, great taquitos in the snack bar too.

The course itself is very nice looking and very challenging. The downside is that it is set inside a big RV/mobile home park. The upside of that is that it is very inexpesive. You would pay three or four times more to play this course in another setting. Great deal

Naval Station Golf Course
"Best Beginner Course"
This is the best beginner golf course around!Highlights for the beginner is no sand or water, and lights allow play until 2200. Price is $10 or less for 18 holes; you would be hard pressed to find a course to practice your short irons as well as pitching and chipping. You could play everyday for a couple weeks with this low price! The shop has very good prices with no tax.
