This course opened for public play in 1990 after many years as a private club. The fairways are tight, and the small greens are undulating and elevated. The course was voted "Tampa Bay's Favorite Public Course" by readers of the "St. Petersburg Times." The JC Penney Tournament was held here for thirteen consecutive years. Caddies are mandatory if you choose to walk the course. This club also offers a Tom Fazio-designed practice range. Daily golf clinics and instruction by PGA certified professionals are available. Discounts are available for Florida residents.

Have played this course a few times. The Layout is terrific and challenging to a hack or a scratch player. Choose your t-position and make sure to take note of the pin positions. Gold T-boxes need work, but it is managable. Best value in Pinellas county for a non member.

The attitude of the pro shop and its employees is extremely poor. They are rude and condensing unless you are a regular. The course is good with small greens and in good shape when I played it, however the overall experience of the staff made it a bad experience. Would not recommend for a pleasant golfing experience.

Twin Hills Golf Course
"Well conditioned and fun to play"
I have a 6 cap and play all the courses in our area. I belong to a private club but still enjoy a round of golf at Twin Hills. The course is short for most big hitters, but still has plenty of trouble. You will find beautiful fairways and greens throughout the year. The speed of play will be around 4 hours for 18. I don't think there are too many courses that have the quality of golf and conditions that Twin Hills offers for the price. It is well worth the time to play here.

Indian Springs Golf Club
"Indian Springs - Hidden Jewel"
This course is in a rural setting, with many farms around. Getting to it is a challenge, but once there, some pleasurable hours will be had. The course was well maintained, with good fairways and well manicured greens. There is almost an "upper level" and "lower level" for play and the elevation changes pretty dramatically for middle Illinois. There are plenty of water hazards, woods and places to make shots, so the course may be tough for new players. For shotmakers, it is a great skill test. The signature hole offers a scenic tee, overlooking two water hazards, gazing out into a woods and just barely able to see the dogleg right hole. Anything too far out or left or right goes out of play, and bunkers guard the green on the approach. The clubhouse has the essentials for refreshments, the price is moderate and the staff are friendly. I would recommend this course to anyone for an enjoyable outing and challenge.

Member : I found this golf course very changing and beautiful. Even though the course is somewhat short, it is heavily guarded with trees and it has a fair amount of sand around the greens and 3 fairway bunkers, the 1st is on #3 and the other 2 on #17 . The greens are very will maintained with a good quick pace to them. It would be wise to keep it in the short grass because the ruff can get pretty hairy. The best thing about this course is that the average cost to play is $20 to $40 dollars with cart. The down side is that it is located in the sticks (Corry Pa.), about 50 to 60 minutes south east of Erie Pa. They recently started taking take t-times about 2 years ago, so you can call ahead and schedule your time (up to 3 days ahead). If you like a changing and scenic golf course you should take the short trip to North Hills and give the course a try. Happy golfing R.A.W.

Mountain Valley Golf Course - Maple/Oak Course
"hidden gem"
Course was originally 18 but 9 new holes were added in the last few years. The three nines, oak, pine, and maple are all challenging with tight tree lined fairways with generous sized greens with a fair bit of undulation. Huge elevation changes on some holes offer great views of the surrounding PA countryside. Although not the longest course, although some holes are quite long it is easily the most difficult in the region due to the tightness and difficult putting greens. The greens are always in great condition so the difficulty I have with putting is assuredly not the course, It's all mine. Great value too, and a friendly and helpful staff makes these three nine hole courses a must when in the area.
