This is an interesting desert course where all eighteen holes are visible from the clubhouse. The club played host to the 1968 NCAA men�s and 1988 NCAA women's championships. Water hazards (ponds) come into play on two holes. The greens are undulating and well guarded by sand bunkers. "Golf Digest" rated this course as the 2nd "Best Public Course" in the state for 1996. In addition, "Golf Digest" rated this course as the 27th best out of "America's Top 75 Affordable Courses" from their list of "America's Best Golf Courses Everyone Can Play" for 1996 and as the 84th best under the 1996 category of "Top 100 Courses You Can Play in the U.S."

Mount Lebanon Golf Course
"Great for Skins"
The local course offers fast greens and risk/reward for being able to hit the greens in key locations. Sure pars turn to double bogies fast. Fourth hole and the eigth holes are by far the toughest par fours on the course. While the 5th hole (blind par three) is a nutz kind of whole, it's worth the shot in the dark it calls for.

"It's getting better!"
The course had been declining but 2-3 years ago a new super was brought in. The greens were in rough shape and fairways adequate. Now the greens are in great shape and the fairways in just as good a shape. There was a reconfiguration of the back nine that made it a little more challenging. Over all, the course is alot more enjoyable to play.
