Desert Rose Golf Course5483 Clubhouse Dr Las Vegas, NV 89122 Phone: (702)431-4653Fax: (702)431-7910
This course is friendly to all skill levels. The gently rolling fairways are fairly open, and the greens have undulation. Two washes run through the layout and are considered lateral water hazards. The owners spent $3 million on a two-year capital improvements project for the course and clubhouse that was completed in 1997. Jim Colbert and Jeff Brauer redesigned the course in 1985. Tee times are reserved three days in advance for weekends.

Don't bother, Dec 01, 2007

| This course was an absolutely terrible experience. It will cost an out-of-towner $150 to play a round there with club rental. The course is in very bad shape. The fairways are burned up and the greens are in just fair condition. The course winds its way through a low income neighborhood where we encountered a retarded man running around one hole and a homeless guy crossing another. There were kids yelling, dogs barking, and lots of other distractions. The pace of play was horribly slow and when I said something to the marshall (Doc) he asked me what I expected him to do about it. On top of it all we got to the clubhouse at 1 PM and was told the cook was already gone for the day so were could only order a club sandwich. We both ordered one and by that evening neither of us felt well. Go somewhere else and play, this place isn't worth the trouble. |
