This course has large cottonwood trees lining its fairways. The large greens are undulating, elevated, and some of them are double-tiered. The fairways are mostly flat, but there are a few hills that can cause uneven lies. The signature hole is #12, a 387-yard, par 4, requiring a blind tee shot over a raised fairway, then an approach shot over water to the green. Robert Muir Graves redesigned the course in 1979.

I've been a member at LGC for 2 years. This is a very good test of anyone's game. The course is not exceptionally long, but the trees and trouble will make you glad it's not any longer. The course is in amazing shape. The grounds crew is fantastic! We are getting all new sand traps in September, 2004 which will only add to the reputation this course has as one of the best in Montana.

I love this golf course. I play in a tournament here every year. I always think I'm going to do better but it has these challenges that change my swing. You will find yourself protecting against going out of bounds, water hazards, sand, trees...they have it all. The number 9 eats me up. It's a dogleg right and if you can manage to stay away from the small canyon on the right you still have the challenge getting on the green that you better save an extra stroke for! Be careful if you go over this green....nothing but trouble. The main thing about this course is the people. They treat you like you were the only one playing that day. You will love the scenery also.

I have played this course for 5 years and I find it to be one of the nicest courses that I have played to date. It is challenging without being too difficult. Some of the holes require accuracy but, for the most part, it is a very playable and forgiving golf course.

Players Club, The
"Fair and enjoyable"
The Players Club is a wonderful course that requires consistency and patience. The layout is not overly diffucult, yet there are holes that can come up and bite you if you are not careful as to where you place your ball. This course will reward the consistent ball striker. There is a great variety of holes at the Players Club, which will keep the golfer coming back for more and keep him from getting bored with the same types of holes. A great course!!

Vince's Sport Center has a great par-3 golf course. It was made to challenge the average golfer on putting, chipping, and long iron swings. This course has a pond on the fifth hole, nice greens, and sand bunkers. This is a practice course that all golfers should try.

Wayne Public Golf Course
"Review of Wayne PGC"
Great course! Starts off mellow and simple but by the 5th hole you are driving up and over hills to the green. The 7th hole, a Par 3, feels like you are driving off a cliff to get to a tight green. Once you get warmed up on the front nine the fun really begins. Try not to lose too many balls in the creek on the way to the 12th green. The 13th, 14th, and 15th holes are all very challenging Par 3s similar to the 7th hole and very dramatic because you are shooting through a canopy of trees to get to the greens. The 17th hole is par 5 that is cut in half by a creek and immediately followed up by a dog leg. Choose your club wisely when you tee off, and you might get across the creek without losing your ball in the river the creek flows into.
