This golf course was great! They have changed the name to Wild Turkey Trace, and much of the course has undergone construction. No more Bob-O-Rock!! If it has been a year or longer since you played here, you won't even recognize this place. The greens are the best I've played anywhere, fairways are in great shape. Even the clubhouse has undergone renovations, and everyone is so friendly. If you gave up on the old Bob-O-Link you need to give Wild Turkey Trace a try.

There is a reason why the locals call this course Bob-O-Rock, and it's not because of any rock band! Balls seem to bounce and bounce and bounce and......... This is one course to skip!

Not a bad course, and is better than in the past since some new owners took over a while back. Fairly inexpensive to play, has lots of water come into play on several holes. Not real hard to play, but challanging enough for te average golfer.

"New design poor, operation run poorly..."
The scenery is nice and price is about average for a public course, but here's a few pet peaves: - The course was redesigned a few years back to try to squeeze a few more stokes onto par by making it a par 69 from the original 66. The results were in my estimation, terrible. They basically redesignated two long par 4's into short par fives, combined to par 3's into a par 4, and added a 50 yard new par 3. - The proshop is run extremely unprofessionally by retirees and kids under 16. I've also witnessed the "owner" hanging around and acting like a yahoo. Let's put it this way, not your typically golf links proprietor! - The greens are colored during the summer with some bluish dye that gets all over your clothes, clubs, and ball. I suspect it covers up the burned out yellow spots on the greens. - Finally, I've never seen greens like the ones at this place. They are kept long and are, by far, the slowest I've ever encountered. I've literally seen playing partners skull a wedge from 60 yards and it doesn't even roll off the green. Weird.

This course matches with any in difficulty from the tips. It is awesome to play and has many great golf holes. From th regular men's tee it is a terrific course as well. Fairways can be tight so high handicappers may find the course tougher and not as enjoyable as some. But, hey, with the views (best in the country for a mountain course) everyone will love this track. I have guests from all over the country play this course and rave.

"It is what it is."
This is a no-nonsense par 3 course. Course is flat and wide open. Excellent place to get in a practice round or take kids or beginning golfers to. Low handicappers will not find this course challenging with the exception of a few water hazards. Fees are $15 monday through thursday.
