This course is very difficult because of the hilly terrain. Water hazards (lakes) come into play on several holes, and the fairways are lined by large oak trees. "Golf Digest" rated this course as the 6th "Best Public Course" in the state for 1996, and the 9th "Best in State" course for 1997-98.

Awesome..., Sep 02, 2004
reviewer: Von from Salt Lake City, UT USA
I only had the pleasure of playing the back 9 on this course. I was very pleased with the experience. Very difficult course, with up and downhill holes, sloping fairways, well kept greens, and it very beautifilly manicured. It seemed that I only had a lie on flat ground a couple of times. The only one complaint I had, is that some of the tee boxes had some undulations in them. I prefer a nice perfectly flat area to tee off from. I would for sure recommend this course to anyone.

The Best Golf Course in the State, Feb 17, 2004
reviewer: Don Carlson from St. George, UT USA
It is hard to say how I feel about this magnificent golf course in only 1,000 words. The natural beauty and splendor of the course added to the enjoyable time I had while playing a round of golf. This course is challenging, and it is a good test of your abilities. The pro shop is is also very neat and organized. I met a man who worked there who was an artisst as well as a golfer! He had taken pictures of golfers in different positions and painted them into humorous golf paintings. I learned his name was Todd Budge and that aside from working in the pro shop and painting, he also teaches golf lessons! This golf course has it all. A Cafe, a pro shop, lessons, a driving range, practice putting greens, and a splended course. I give this course a 5-star rating and recommend it above all other courses in the state of Utah. I am going to try and drive up at least twice a month to play a round of golf at Valley View. I don't know why it has taken me so long to get this message out ot people, but I am recommending that everyone who reads this message pass it along to friends so at the first of spring, everybody can enjoy a beautiful round of golf.
