| First five holes are the toughest; they are links type and fairly hilly. The next 3 holes play into the woods; the ninth is a long par 5. The back nine is less varied but water comes into play much more, particularly on the 11th and 12th. Overall, a very good public course with generally easy access in terms of scheduling. |

Going to be nice, Oct 13, 2004 |

| My 1st thought on this course is that it kind of links course and is going to be nice. What this course is really missing is a yardage guide/where the smart play is. The course has narrow fairways and blind shots that leaves the first time golfer wondering where to put the tee shot. I found the fairways soft to almost standing water. The greenside bunkers are thin and need attention. This going to be a nice course but for the price it needs to help out the first timer and firm up the fairways. Dan |

Wonderful layout, Oct 12, 2004 |

| This is a superbly designed course which makes the best of a mixed piece of land that includes some beautiful wooded areas but is also bisected by a rather ugly power line. As first-timers on Blue Mash, my Dad and I were fortunate to be joined be an experienced player. It would otherwise have been extremely difficult to know where to drive on many holes. While the course is not overly tight, it is very strategic and every hole has a preferred landing area that would be hard to discern without some help. About half the course runs through the woods, and the other half is out in the open with lots of water. There is an abundance of fairway bunkers on every hole. Like many of the modern courses, the greens are perched up on mounds, so that missing a green is rather severely (in some cases too severely) penalised. But the course is still a lot of fun, and not overly expensive by the standards of the newer courses. |

A tough beginning, Jun 19, 2004 |

| The most difficult holes come early, and the course's character changes from the front nine to the back, which is wooded. Range balls aren't included, and they are rather expensive. I've found that I need 2 bags to warm up properly. The course has occaisional maintenance issues. |
