This very hilly course has small greens and narrow tree-lined fairways. Water hazards (three ponds) come into play on four holes. The longest hole is #3, a 485-yard, par 5, requiring a tee shot up a slight dogleg left fairway. Orrin Smith redesigned the course in the 1930's, and Phil Wogan designed a new back nine in 1991.

interesting course. not always in the greatest condition. first 6 holes are not easy. holes 1 and four require a good drive and then a shot to a very elevated, small green. the second hole is a par 3 with a very difficult green depending on pin placement. 3 is a par 5 and your tee shot must be straight. fifth hole is a short par four and pretty easy. the par 5 6th is fun,the tee shot doesn't need to be perfect but your 2nd stroke is toward a green that is 60-70 ft below you. 7/8/9 are very short par 4/4/3. all three should be parred and birdies are very possible.

Quick leisure rounds., Sep 20, 2007

This course is ideal for an impromptu 9-hole round. The staff is friendly and really does encourage young golfers. If you're just starting out or brushing the dust off old clubs, this is the place to play. Holes one and four are mirror images with ominous hills at the base of each green. Otherwise, this small course offers great variety and a good opportunity to use all of the clubs in your bag. Nothing pretentious about this great course.

Short and Sweet, Sep 26, 2006

This is a short, nine-hole course that looks like it should play easier than it does. Small greens, well-placed bunkers, and elevation changes challenge the short game and require well-placed drives. Much needed irrigation has improved the fairways and greens over the past several years. Some tee boxes still need improving but this is a nice course to jump on at a moments notice. No reservations needed.

great greens, Jun 26, 2006

Old course, tight fairways, huge hills, tiny greens with bumps and mounds just off the fringe make for a short game challenge. Very true greens that are ultra quick. Great community treasure as they really take pride in the surrounding youth to inspire golf in their lives. Richie Parker learned to play on this course.
