This is an executive course that was built on rolling terrain. The fairways are wide open and tree lined. There is water that comes into play on five of the nine holes. The greens are of medium size and fairly slow. The green fees are good for all-day play. The ladies tee off from the same set of tees as the men. The scorecard doesn't show handicaps for individual holes.

Good practice/beginner course, May 03, 2008

Played this course during the summer of 2007. The ultra-low cost was great. Don't quote me, but I think it was play all day for $7...on a Saturday. I saw 5-6 other golfers the entire day. That's it. It's a quiet little place, and not very well marked -- you will find the "pro shop" in the basement of the barn. However, if you are a beginning golfer and want to slowly move through a course, without pressure, or replay a hole once or ten times, this course is great. Condition-wise...it's only a few bucks for all-day play, and you get what you pay for. Don't expect a country club atmosphere, manicured greens, etc. For that matter, at least 1-2 holes no longer have teeboxes due to a flood in prior years. You hit off of pine straw on those holes. I wouldn't play this course, ever, if it was $20+ a round. But it's inexpensive, and the low greens fees more than offsets the rising gas prices.

Wynstone Golf Club
"Employee"
Wynstone is situated on a topographically diverse landscape, unbecoming of many Chicagoland golf venues. It has abundant wildlife which adds to the course's balance between a parkland and wetland. Wynstone also offers a unique challenge for any golfer. Not only is the golf course difficult at 7,000+ yards, but also presents a challenge to any comers at 6,500. Both birdies and bogies are easily found throughout the track. Finally, the course is maintained hard and fast. Fairways and greens are firm which requires and rewards shotmaking.

"New golf course that is fun to play"
Good condition, straight forward and fun to play. Plays shorter than the yardage and the ball tends to feed towards the fairways. Greens are very nice. It is an enjoyable experience and a pretty place to play. I recommend it to anyone heading to California's Antelope Valley.

Walden Ponds Golf Club

I played in two outings at Walden Ponds golf club in 2003 and I found that the attention to detail was outstanding in both instances. The staff was extremely helpful and the golf course was one of the finest conditioned courses that I played in 2003 including private clubs. I highly recommend that you experience this golf course.

Querbes Park Golf Course
"Fun course... worth playing at least once"
It's a decent course. For the price, it's very good. That's why I'm giving it 3 stars. $14 is cheap for 18 holes of golf. Many of the greens are strangely small. Too small in some cases. Although, since many holes are very short, the small greens make them harder, which is good. No real bunkers. There are some strange dug up pits with sand in them, but they look like an afterthought. I wish they did the bunkers correctly, or just completely left them out. There are a few very fun holes on back-9. I recommend playing the course at least once. I did play the course during winter so the greens weren't too great, but it's understandale in February. I will definately play there more in the spring when conditions will be better. Especially being a college student, I'm all for the price.
