This course features a meandering spring and plenty of marshy areas coming into play on several holes. The predominantly hilly terrain makes for irregular lies, and the abundance of tall grasses bordering the fairways can be trouble. The signature hole is #15, a 220-yard, par 3, requiring a long tee shot to an undulating green. This club was formerly a dairy farm and has hosted the Maine Open from 1983 to 1986. The green fees indicated are good for all-day play.

|Springbrook Golf Club is in my opinion a true test of golf. I used to work at the course and played it often and I found that I used every club in my bag to get around this links style course. You have to play all the shots if you hope to post a respectable score. The folks who own and operate the course make everyone feel welcome. The food is great by the way and the golf shop is always filled with a fine selection of golf equipment and accessories. If you are ever in the Augusta/Lewiston area, stop by Springbrook on 202. You won't be disappointed.|

|I play Springbrook a couple of times a year. I've played great courses from FLorida to California, and this has a couple of the toughest par-3 holes I have ever played. It is in excellent condition. Last year they added several forward tees which should greatly help high-handicappers and beginners. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I recommend it.|
