Good test for shot placing, Jun 23, 2004

Good test from tee to green. Start out with 1 handicap hole, a par 5 you can get home in 2 but better odds to lay up and get par. Front 9 more tight and back 9 more open. Great course since it is challenging but place shots right you can card a good score. Signature hole is No. 13 par 3 that has to carry water from right and with wind blowing and tough pin placement a true par 3 test.

If you want to have fun this is the place to go. We have never had a problem playing here. The course is very enjoyable to play too.

For a fast round of 9-holes this course is very enjoyable, and actually quite challenging. The greens are all in good condition throught the year, and so are the fairways. Par 3's range from 90-yards to 205-yards, and the par 4s are long enough where you can hit driver and/or 3-wood. Wonderful practice putting green surrounding water and driving range is also nice. For the price and convenience of walking on without a long wait, it's a winner in my book.

Woodcrest Country Club
"Woodcrest Country Club"
Woodcrest Country Club is not a long hitters course, but rather accuracy is rewarded. Woodcrest is famous for its rough, so keeping it in the Fairway is the play. Greens are smaller than the nouveau courses, but not the undulating and overly tricky type either. My friends who are low handicappers tell me that the course is tough but fair, and conservative play is best. Higher handicappers like me know the value of course management here.
