This course has a very interesting layout. There is a mature creek in the shape of a horseshoe that the layout follows. Several ponds also line the course. The greens are well-maintained, large and well-bunkered. They offer little break and contour. The fairways, in general, are open with a variety of brush and trees interspersed throughout the design. The signature hole is #13, a 201-yard, par 3, which plays uphill through a corridor of trees, requiring a long iron or wood to reach the green.

| If not for the 13th hole it would be a 3; but I've played a lot of golf all over the mid-west and southwest and that 200+ yrd., uphill par 3 is one of the toughest holes I've ever played. I've only made par one time. Words cannot describe it. Did I mention tree lined! The rest of the course is very nice with some tricky holes that require a little course knowledge. |
