This facility has an eighteen hole regulation course, plus a nine hole executive course. The Regulation Course was redesigned by Richard Watson and Jeff Brauer and shortened by approximately 600 yards in August, 1996. A 4,000-square foot clubhouse, pro shop and maintenance and cart barns were also built. The facility is owned by a partnership that includes PGA Tour player Lanny Wadkins.

Madera Golf & Country Club

This is a great layout with some long par 3's. The fairways are wide but trees line many holes and you must be in position in the fairway to get a shot at the small greens. Speed of the greens is medium-fast. Greens and Tee boxes were in good shape but the bermuda fairways are dormant and not overseeded for the winter. Play is slower on Sunday's but everyone was friendly and helpful.

Great course if your looking for something really different in Florida. With the exception of the Clermont area of Florida you won't find a course more reminiscent of golfing in the Carolina hills.Green fees are very reasonable and you won't be disappointed with the condition.

"Not really semi private"
Anyone can play here, beautiful hill course, a little pricey compared to most other courses in the area but you get what u pay for. Beautiful greens, hilly but easy to hit off fairways. There is a womans trounament here every year. Wonderful clubhouse etc. Beer is cheap Rent a cart
