This links-style course has almost no hills, and water comes into play on at least five holes. There are many elevated greens, and some holes have narrow fairways. Stephen Kay did some redesigns on the course in 1990.

| This course has quickly become one of my favorite courses to play on Long Island. It is certainly a challenging course, but playable for players of all levels. It is also one of the most picturesque courses on the Island. Well worth the price. Love playing the 16th hole (double water hole). |

| Flat course with plenty of trouble. Fariway bunkers and water abound. Greens are quick and fairways are forgiving. The course is tricky in the wind which blows almost everyday. The wind can make this course much harder than it looks. The only 'problem' with Lido is the pace of play which on a weekend can run 6+ hours. |
