| Of the four municipal courses in Lincoln, Mahoney is probably the poorest. That is not to say that it is necessarily bad, however. The narrow fairways require straight tee shots, and a number of doglegs demand accurate placement. The eighth hole is extremely difficult-a 420 yd par 4 with a downhill tee shot and water to your left, and then back uphill with a dogleg left to a bunker-guarded green. This course sees a lot of golfers, and occasionaly shows the wear, especially on the tees and greens. Pace of play is very slow on nice summer days. |
