Short but Challanging, Jul 29, 2008

| I must mention how nice The Meadows course is becoming. It may not be long but it can be challenging if you don't keep the ball straight. I remember when this was a cow pasture. The fairways are in great shape, the bunkers are consistent, and the greens are well maintained. A big thanks to the owner Hank and his assistants Dennis, Pat and the maintenance crew. Yes, I agree there always can be improvements like port-a-johns and drinking water on the course, first cut rough so you have a chance if the ball rolls through the fairway to stop before the high grass second cut and slightly faster greens. But it is a jewel and fun for every kind of handicapper.
I play here in a small league every week and have gotten to enjoy this playable course.

I Paid $79 For This?!?!?! , Apr 07, 2008

| This course is a disgrace.
They are not accepting tee times, I was told it is "too early" in the season. They have no starter or rangers on the course. The greens and tee boxes had just been aerated - most are in poor condition. The lay out of the course is dangerous. On at least 5 occasions myself or one of my playing partners had a ball land within 10 yards of them (very rarely did anyone yell out Fore, etc!). A couple of the fairways were unplayable due to them being under water. The cart paths are in terrible condition - overall, absolutely the worst drainage I've seen on a golf course. Not to mention a number of holes are under construction. All in all a poor course in every aspect. How they have the nerve to charge $79 for a course with this many current issues is beyond laugable - as mentioend earlier it's a disgrace!

| The course is short but not bad from the Blues. Good place to bring someone new to the game for two reasons.
1. Playing from the whites it's very short
2. The price is so high that not many people are on the course, so you'll never have people behind waiting.
Its not a bad place to practice different shots cause the course is never crowded. |
