This course provides a challenge for all levels. The signature hole is #8, a 179-yard, par 3, featuring a twenty-degree slope to the green. There are additional sets of tees that can be used when playing an eighteen hole round. The green fees indicated are good for all-day play.

Great for the price, Feb 24, 2005

For the price i think that this course is a really good test of golf. I went on the spur of the moment and was pleasantly surprised.

Andover Golf & Country Club
"One of the Best"
Andover is certainly one the best course in the region. It is very challenging as well as one of the most beautiful courses around. The greens at peak season are like glass, the roughs will chew you up and cost additional strokes and the narrow fairways boarded by homes will make you shiver. Your score is determined how well you can over come the fear of taking a full swing or whimp out just to keep it in play. Not being an extra long course makes you contemplate the great shots instead of the smart ones. When you make a mistake take the bogey and go on to the next hole.

"OUTSTANDING VALUE"
Played it many times. Expansive layout, well manicured, nice greens. A little dry at times, but thats the neighborhood. Recent updates such as massive waste-bunkers installed in various locations make it attractive, looks expensive. A very fun course to play. Better than 2 or 3 other courses in the area. Water holes are a challenge and beautifully presented. But don't tell anybody, I like the course to myself. Going back Feb 3rd to the 13th 2004.

Deer Lake Golf Course
"The New Management has made Deer Lake GREAT"
I've been a golfer for alomost 20 years now (in North East Ohio) and it always delights me to find a course like Deer Lake. This course changed management about 3 years ago and there have been MAJOR improvements. The fairways have a much more professional feel to them and the greens are now firm and entertaining. This course has come a long, long way in the last couple of years and the new management should be congradulated. Not only that but greens fees are the lowest that I've found in the area. When you go in ask Carlo, the owner, for some of his special chili.

A COUPLE OF CREAKS, PONDS, WOODS AND NARROW FAIRWAYS TO DEAL WITH. MAPLEWOOD HAS A TWO TEAR DRIVING RANGE, PRACTICE GREEN, RESTRANT AND FULL BAR AND PARTY ROOMS. FREINDLY SERVICE WITH A REFRESHIMENT CART THAT RUNS ON THE COURSE FOR NEEDED DRINKS.
