This club has three nine hole courses that are played in three eighteen hole combinations. The holes are carved through the rolling hills of the southern Livermore Valley wine country. Wind that typically blows from the northwest dictates play on these courses. The three nines are all similar in length and design and have fairways that are sculpted into valleys at the base of shaggy, dune-like hills. The landing areas are roomy, though white sand bunkers will snare errant drives. Water comes into play on one hole on the Merlot Course and on four on the Chardonnay Course. | I think that this is a review for Poppy Ridge. this is the NCGA course. Difficult for the high handicapper, but well maintained. High winds, temp in the 100's most summer days...But worth the price. $50 for NCGA members. |
