This course was built on the southern outskirts of Chicago. With a links-style feel, every golfer will enjoy the scenery and beautiful layout of the course. This course has two holes that are considered to be their signature holes, #5 and #14. These par 4's feature funnel-shaped fairways that trickle down to the greens, which are well guarded with sand bunkers and trees. The 6,253-yard men's tee also has a ladies' course rating of 73.9 and a slope of 123.

The very first "real" round of golf I have ever played was at Prairie Bluff. I must say, while it is a pretty much wide opened course, it is still a very challenging course as well. I have played at several of the courses in the area since my first game, but I always return to Prairie Bluff. Great course, great staff. Have fun and Hit em' straight.

The prairie grass more than makes up for the lack of trees. Condition of the course was impecable for a public course.

"Good greens"
The corse isn't extreamly long, but can pose a challenge from the back tees, especially for the mid-long hitters. It is well manicured, and the greens have a smooth, consistant roll.

Twin Lakes Golf Club

The Twin Lakes Golf Course is an 18 hole par 70 course with tree lined fairways and bentgrass greens. This is a semi-private course opeerated by its over 350 members. The course is open to the public on a daily fee basis. Visitors to the Twin Lakes area find this challenging course a delight. The information provided about this site on golfable.com is dated. Triggs Memorial Golf Course
"Donald Ross Design at Public Rates"
Triggs is a good course, a tough layout from the back tees. Donald Ross designed Muni gets a lot of play and is a little rough around the edges, but a great test of golf. Played there for years before I relocated South.

Shawnee Lookout Golf Course
"Beautiful, Scenic, Challenging, HILLLLLLYYY"
I have played this course several times when traveling to the Cincinnati area and have found this gold course to be most scenic. First few holes are easy.. but this just to draw you into the ambush of trees, hills, water and rough that lie ahead. Very fun course to play. Nestled and secluded right in the corner of where three states meet, with views of the Ohio river and Great Miami River.
