This course has many sand bunkers and water hazards that come into play throughout the course. The greens are slow and in excellent shape. The views are nice and the area is very pleasing and peaceful.

No Sand in Traps, Sep 04, 2009 |

| This course has a lot of potential for a short course, but it has been poorly maintained. The sand in the traps is very hard and could best be called dirt. If you try to blast out of the traps like the pros do, you'll break your arms. The greens are often in poor condition. They try to fix them by cutting patches out of other greens. They have recently raised their rates to $14.50 which is ridiculous for 9 poorly maintained holes. |

A Nice Beginning Course, Jul 05, 2004 |

| This golf course is always in good shape and for how short it is, it contains many challenging holes. There are many hazards including two lakes that come into play on the second hole. There aren't any holes over 320 yards and the shortest hole is only 95 yards long. Play is usually slow as most beginners play here, and there isn't a snack bar or restaurant. However the peaceful area and hole conditions make this golf course worth a visit. You can also get a replay special as the course has only nine holes. This is a great course for beginners. |

Bixby is great!, Jun 26, 2004 |

| Bixby Village Golf Course was the first golf course that I played at, and I loved it in that it provided very challenging holes for my beginning game. Now a more skilled player, I continue to play there, and it is still a fairly tough course. The holes range from a short 100-yard par 3 to a tough 322-yard par 4, and although it only has 9 holes, you can get a replay special to play a full 18. The only problem with this course is that it is played mostly by beginning golfers as I was, and so play is usually slower than at more advanced courses. But the nice fairways and greens, and the overall quality of the course make this a winner! |
