This well-maintained course was built on rolling terrain, so you can expect many uneven lies. The fairways are tight and tree lined, and the greens are well manicured. The most difficult hole on the course is #14, a 371-yard, par 4, requiring a precise lay-up shot so you can see the green, which is not visible from off the tee. "Golf Digest" rated this course as the 10th "Best Public Course" in the state for 1996.

Great Value, Mar 29, 2004 |

| As an avid golfer I've played several public, semi-private and private courses around the country, and in all honesty I would rate Glynn's Creek a tremendous value. The scenery is beautiful with wild deer often visible during a round. For a public course the greens are manicured wonderfully. The staff has always been nothing but first rate whenever I've played there. You truly forget during the round that you are in a County Park and not at a private resort. The course is somewhat narrow and challenging. Lots of trees and few bailout locations. Keep it straight or bring some backup sleeves of golf balls. Otherwise, be prepared to have a lot of fun on one of Iowa's secret golf hideaways. |
