This course features water hazards coming into play on twelve holes. The undulating greens are fast and well bunkered, and the fairways are wide open. This course's most difficult hole is #10, a 406-yard, par 4, requiring a tee shot up a dogleg left fairway that is lined by trees on both sides, then an approach shot past huge sand bunkers guarding the right side of the green. The 6,389-yard men's tee also has a ladies' course rating of 75.1 and a slope of 122. The 5,895-yard men's tee also has a ladies' course rating of 72.4 and a slope of 117. The 5,230-yard ladies' tee also has a men's course rating of 64.2 and a slope of 103.

Finest greens around, Nov 30, 2004

The greens were smooth and fast. The course is dry even in the winter. The staff treated me great. I can't believe the low prices. Thanks for an enjoyable time.

Fast smooth greens, great service and low prices. I had an enjoyable outing. The Course allowed me to use every club in my bag. The fairways were dry and firm on this late fall day. I saw many tee and drainage improvements and I especially liked the many new tree plantings. Next time I pass through I'll be stopping again to play this course.

Wow, what a fun and challenging course. The greens were some of the best I've ever played on. The prices were too low for such a fine facility. I'll be back as soon as possible to play this one again.

"Best Bargin Around"
Excellent course for the average golfer to play. The condition is average, but for the price and playability you just can't beat it.

St. Clair Shores Country Club
"Great Shape - Slow Play"
I've been playing St. Clair Shores Country Club since 1983. Over the years the quality of the course, ie: fairways, greens and overall layout of the course had improved greatly. It's a fine course to play for all levels. The better golfer may find it a bit short. Most par 4's are in the low to mid 300's. The course is mainly flat, but offers many different obsticles. Plenty of sand makes up for the flat layout. Water also poses problems on several holes. Hole #14, a mid range par three, requires a full carry over water. The main problem with St. Clair Shores Country Club is the SLOW PLAY. The course rangers, while very nice, do not do their job properly. In fact, over the past 20 years, they've gotten progresively worse. So don't expect any help if your stuck behind a group that take's more time than normal. Remeber, it's not a race. At least that's what I tell myself each time I go out to St. Clair Shores Country Club. Needless to say, it gets a bit frustrating at times. In conclusion, the course is maintained quite well. If you can get out on a weekday morning that would be the best time to enjoy your round. The rates are about mid $40's for 18 holes and a cart.

High Ridge Country Club
"Breathtaking"
This very exclusive club is one of the best i've ever played on. Not excessively long, but very challenging. The course was in impeccable shape, and 16 of the 18 holes could be signature holes. If you ever get a chance to play this beatiful track, jump at it.

Westbrooke Golf Course
"Good for practice"
This course is almost always crowded which isnt a problem because I bring my youngest son here to play. the more expirence you have the less this course challenges you. I wouldnt come here by my self (golfer of 40 years)
