This short, demanding course is located on a college campus in the mountains of Western Pennsylvania. The course has never been altered since it was built by Donald Ross in 1917. The greens are sloped to allow for water runoff, and they are considered quick, but not fast. Watch for hidden breaks that will cause your putt to slide away from the mountains. The fairways are wooded. The signature hole is #6, a 431-yard, par 4, which is an uphill dogleg left. The fairway is straight for 275 yards, but the last fifty veers left and uphill to an elevated green. Tee times are only reserved for weekends and holidays. The ladies tee off from the same set as the men and their par is actually 40.

Great course very fun to play.Have to rely on a driver. Staff is not so great they will cut grass while you are trying to play they will cut in front of you. Went there several times and made new rules to get more money. Great course

Excellent Round, Jun 12, 2004

I had the pleasure of playing this course on almost daily basis as a student at St. Francis. A challenging and picturesque course, drives need to be accurate as well as your approach or you could spend a lot of time in the woods looking for a ball. I still make a t least one trip a year back to exclusively play this course.

I live near this golf course, and I have played here often. It's actually designed for left handed golfers. If you are right handed, you are in for some trouble. However, its very easy to get par here, and it is a great course to begin at playing golf.
