Pohick Bay GC is a treat for anyone who enjoys getting away from residential development GC tracts created as an after thought to the predominating Monster Mansions. PBGC is nestled in a woodland paradise confirmed by the presence of friendly wood chucks, deer and squirrels on many of the holes. Oh, yes, the golf is great, too. The well-tended greens, tight fairways, and beautifully situated tee boxes make this a wonderful experience for people of all playing levels. The courteous rangers, all golf enthusiasts themselves, keep the play moving without being off-putting. Each hole is a unique and enjoyable test of your shot-making skills. A great way to spend several hours in the northern VA countryside far from the bustling crowds.

Hilly front levels into a rolling back. Good course for short knockers. Plenty of places to get into trouble. I think the greens have a good sand base, always cut tight.

This is a must play for a county course. very well thought out greens and nice valleys to hit over on some par 3's. the 3 holes with the lake are fun and challenging.
