This club offers two regulation eighteen hole courses. These courses are located within the City of Beverly Hills. The North Course is one of the best courses in the world, featuring some very long par 3's. There are no ponds on this course. The signature hole is #9 on the North Course, a 176-yard, par 3, which is highlighted by a view of the clubhouse in the background. "Golf Digest" rated the North Course 33rd best out of "America's 100 Greatest Courses" for 1995-96, and 38th best for 1997-98. The same publication rated it as the 6th "Best in State" course for 1995-96, and the 7th for 1997-98. In addition, "GOLF Magazine" ranked it 32nd in the category of the "Top 100 Courses in the U.S." for 1995, 37th in 1997 and 35th in 1999. "GOLFWEEK" afforded it 25th among "America's 100 Best Classical Courses" for 1997 and 1999, and 33rd for 1998. The South Course gets more traffic because it's shorter and easier. The 5,658-yard ladies' tee on the South Course also has a men's course rating of 67.1 and a slope of 113. William P. Bell redesigned the North Course in 1928, and Robert Muir Graves redesigned both courses in 1982. The club has a very strict dress code and is very private. There is a separate Monday green fees for guests.

Simply A Classic, Nov 04, 2004

A fantastic course with several "signature" holes. The course is well maintained, demanding, and beautiful. Walking the course was an awesome golf experience. I have played over one hundred different courses over the years, several of which are routinely listed in the top 100 in the world; Los Angeles Country Club is in my personal top ten. A must play if you can get on.

A Thomas Course really worth playing, Jul 07, 2004
reviewer: David Shannon from Sydney Australia
I played the North Course this summer and was very impressed. The condition of the course is extremely good and the layout is well-balanced offering a variety of interesting golfing situations. There are one or two "quirky" holes in the middle (eg 6 and 8). As I have given the maximum rating, I will only point out the potential weaknesses (which are nitpicks only): the front nine starts with two par 5s, which is unusual. The par 5 8th, with its second shot where you cannot take more that a 7 iron to get over the barranca, is frankly a little weak. Otherwise, LACC North is superb and well worth travelling for a game ... if you can get on.
