This course is basically flat, but there are some holes with hills that can cause uneven lies. Many mature trees line most of the lush fairways, and barranca comes into play on at least six holes. The greens are extremely fast and very sloped. Caddies are mandatory if you choose to walk the course. All guests must be accompanied by a member in order to play this course.

| Stuffy course due to the attitudes of member golfers. Grass is cut so short as to create tight lies even when in the middle, straight down the fairway...cut to give advantage to only the purest ball strikers. Baranca invisible on most holes it involves leaving golfer ignorant of potential trouble until too late and leaving golfer overly reliant upon caddy's best efforts. Greens are pro-fast and well protected. The course is sometimes beautiful and sometimes looking like an average public course. Only real advantage is location and proximity to central LA. Has old school, prejudiced feel...members rarely show interest in even small conversation with strangers. |
