This hilly course has narrow, tree-lined fairways and water hazards coming into play on three holes. The greens are large and undulating. The most difficult hole is #9, a 456-yard, par 4, requiring a massive tee shot up a dogleg left fairway, then another powerful approach shot in order to reach the green in regulation.

Comfortable but Challenging, Jun 08, 2004

This course offers something for all levels of golfers. Several holes are relatively short, but do not let the length fool you; finess is a requirement on this coarse. Pin placement can make some holes a bear to overcome as greens roll well and breaks are often not evident to the untrained eye. Highly recommended stop when in the area. Curtious staff and beautiful terrain make this a fun coarse to play most of the year round.

Beautiful and Challenging, May 27, 2004

Truly a joy to play. It has recently opened to allow some public play and I'm glad I took advantage. Immaculately maintained, incredible beauty, and a great layout make this course one of my all-time favorites. The fairways are quite narrow on some holes and the greens are challenging. The thing that stands out is the beauty of the surrondings. You won't regreat playing here.

Rainier Golf & Country Club
"One of the best In Seattle area"
Rainier Golf has everything for the family. Nice greens, beautiful fairways, ponds, and a great crew that takes care of it. It has an older clubhouse with French stying. Ron Proctor the last Superintendent, drove the course into a new direction by rebuiding all of the fairways, adding six to twelve inches of sand, drainage, and training the best crew to care for it. He kept up on new mowers, bringing high quality, cutting edge practices into the day to day maint. of the course. Rainier golf is worth the money. All done through two generations of golf Superintendent know how. Rainier is a links style layout, and challenging for everyone.

I have played this course for 5 years and I find it to be one of the nicest courses that I have played to date. It is challenging without being too difficult. Some of the holes require accuracy but, for the most part, it is a very playable and forgiving golf course.

This course is absoulutely awful. The fairways have huge rocks and bahiagrass. I would not pay money to ever play there again.
