This club was purchased by members in 1996, who then began major renovations to the course, such as adding more water hazards, upgrading the greens and fairways, and lengthening the course by approximately 200 yards. The renovation is complete and the current layout of the course features wider fairways and larger, more undulating greens. Water hazards come into play on a few holes. Many of the fairways are dogleg configurations, and numerous sand bunkers protect both the fairways and greens.

The course is in pretty good shape most of the time considering the greenskeeper never gets out of his truck. They have a goose problem on holes two and three which can make walking hazardous to your shoes. Greens are pretty small and do not hold irons well. The course is overpriced for what you get.

"short but challenging"
while the course is very short..there are a few holes that require good ball placement or you will end up in the water..hole #2;#6;#11;#12 and #14.....good for the short game as well and for the price you can't beat it; however depending on when you go play can be sometimes very slow.

"One of the better ones around"
Nicely maintained, well conditioned course. A little short from the whites, and perhaps a little long from the championship tees for the average golfer. Water comes into play on many holes, as does out of bounds. Greens are medium sized and fairly flat, but several have devilish breaks. Holes seven and eight can make or break your round, and when playing into the wind, the eighteenth is as tough a finishing hole as there is in the area. There has been talk about going private for several years, but it appears as if it will happen sometime in 2004, so if you have the opportunity to play, do it soon!!

"Oak Hills - fun place to golf"
The first hole is great, requiring a 90 degree second shot or a long high over the forest first shot. The second hole has a challenge too - up hill and over a gully. The whole course is interesting and a relatively easy play for golfers good and bad. I'm going back!

New course design and rebuild has made it one of the best in the area. You will not find greens any more beautiful. True, fast and just beautiful. I also love the changes they have made to 12, 13, 17. One of my favorite tracks.
