This club allows out-of-county residents to play. However, guests must be accompanied by members on the weekends. The signature hole is #18, because the tee is on a high hill and out-of-bounds stakes line the fairway. Water hazards come into play on at least five holes, so shot accuracy is a must.

| If you're tired of the fight for tee times and the 5 - 6 hour rounds offered by the metropolitan golf courses, then you'll enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of Pike County Country Club.
The course is rarely crowded enough to cause any delays in your round. You get to play at a very comfortable pace. Plus, the course is generally in good condition. There are only nine holes, but two sets of tee boxes for each hole allow you to play 18 holes with some variety on the "back 9".
The course is not terribly long, but it offers some challenges with water coming into play on over half the holes, plus some hilly terrain, bunkers and threatening out-of-bounds. The course is very picturesque, especially in the fall.
This is golf probably more like your father or grandfather remembers, before the golfing explosion of the last 10 - 15 years.
