This course is a traditional design built on rolling terrain with well-bunkered greens and narrow fairways lined with a variety of trees. Water hazards come into play on six holes, including the signature hole, #17, a 197-yard, par 3, requiring a carry over a pond. This club has hosted numerous golf championships, including the Kentucky Open, Kentucky Amateur and U.S. Open qualifying rounds. The 6,340-yard men's tee also has a ladies' course rating of 76.7 and a slope of 136.

An unusual and incredibly pleasant experience for an urban environment. Course conditions are well maintained, and plenty of hills to test every club in your bag. Can be as challenging as you wish from the tips, but a very enjoyable round from the regular tees.

"OUTSTANDING VALUE"
Played it many times. Expansive layout, well manicured, nice greens. A little dry at times, but thats the neighborhood. Recent updates such as massive waste-bunkers installed in various locations make it attractive, looks expensive. A very fun course to play. Better than 2 or 3 other courses in the area. Water holes are a challenge and beautifully presented. But don't tell anybody, I like the course to myself. Going back Feb 3rd to the 13th 2004.

Wilshire Golf Club
"Good Challenge; Poor Conditions."
Wilshire is a challenge in disguise. With many decisions shots like weather to carry the creek on the first hole or whether or not to cut the corner off of the 17th. But the adverse course condidions can discourage most golfers that are looking for a challenge. Shabby fairways and greens give it a rough appearance but it is a good deal for the price.

This course is a jewel hidden in the middle of central Minnesota. The course is challenging and the green putt nicely. It was in good condition and easy to walk this past fall.
