This golf course is a diamond in the rough. It is somewhat of a drive to get to, but well worth the effort. The course is well maintained. The fairways are kept nice. If you can control your shots and keep the ball safe, you are rewarded with very makeable shots into the greens. However, manage the course. An errant shot will probably leave you in trees or water. The greens are impeccable. The staff is friendly. The front nine is nice, somewhat challenging to the beginner. But the back nine can be truly challenging even to seasoned golfers.

Argyle Country Club
"Hidden Gem"
Argyle Country Club is a little hidden gem that offers some challenging holes with a very lovely setting. The course starts off with a relatively easy par four but then you are faced with back to back par fives - never easy in the early part of a round! The sixth hole - the number one handicap - is deceptively challenging as is the par 3 seventh hole. Number nine is a nice front finishing hole. The back nine is quite beautiful with the number 12 par 5 offering a great view. Number 16 is a challenging dog leg leading to a stunning number 17 par 3, the "signature" hole. 18 is a great finishing hole leading to the clubhouse. Argyle is extremely affordable compared to other courses in the area. And, it never feels "stuffy." Enjoy!

This course is the best around for your buck! I play all over the world and you can't beat the sweetness of this place! The best part about it is the little guy on the cart that stops you every other hole asking you if you need a drink or snack. Now thats service baby!!

Legacy Golf Club, The
"Legacy Vs. Country Clubs"
The Legacy golf course is by far one of the niceset golf courses I have been on, however, this course does have alot of growing up to do. I have had the privlidge of caddying and playing on some of the finest courses in Toledo and the Legacy is by far the niceset public course around. In fact I would have to say that theis course and its facilities shadow those of only the finest country clubs. The desgign for this course is great but like I said it has alot of growing up to do when it comes to foliage. Also, this course is equipped with some of the finest golf cart technologies, these golf carts take all of the math out of your golf game, simply park them near your ball and the cart tells you an accurate yardage to the pin, not the center of the green. If you are ever in the Toledo area and are looking for a good public course the Legacy golf club is well worth it. Located just north of Toldeo in Michigan it is a very easy to find course and if you are looking for an all day social event they also have a resturant that serves great food all day long.
