This course has the Loch Raven Reservoir coming into play on four holes, so be ready to view plenty of wildlife. "Golf Digest" rated this course as the 9th "Best Public Course" in the state for 1996. Due to chronic slow play, the course instituted a new policy in the spring of 1997. It renamed the tees and moved the men's tees up. The men's tees are now where the ladies' tees used to be, at least on most holes. If you want to play from the back tees, you pay extra, but there is no discount if you want to play the forward tees.

Greens Fees Have Increased, Jul 10, 2005 |

| Pine Ridge is a fine public course but the weekend fees have increased dramatically over the last year. For a round of golf with a cart the cost is close to $40. That's a bargain when compared to upscale courses but I feel badly for the retired folks and the folks who like golf but whose only choice is a public course. And with private management companies taking over the administration of many courses in the area like Pine Ridge, those courses are not as "public" as we once understood the use of that word. |

| One of the best public courses around, challenging yet lady friendly. Beautiful landscaping and wild life. Perfectly maintained, yet inexpensive. Service is great too. It does not feel like you are playing at a public course. |

| This is one of the nicest public courses in the US. It also has one of the greatest values with green tees 20 dollars or under. |
