Following a redesign in 1999, this facility now offers three nine hole courses that are played in three eighteen hole combinations. "Golf Digest" rated the original regulation course as the 10th "Best Public Course" in the state for 1996. There is a river that comes into play on three holes. The layout features wide, tree-lined fairways. The signature hole is #8 on the Canyon Course, a 143-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot off an elevated tee box that will drop 130 feet in elevation to the green. The tee box on this particular hole affords the best panoramic view of Lake Superior this course has to offer.

Stevens Park Golf Course
"Classic Muny"
Stevens is only a few minutes from downtown. It's in a beautiful area and has some scenic views of Dallas. It's a classic muny and a good course to walk. There are many challenging holes and there are some very easy holes. Number 2 is a very short par 4 and is reachable from all of the tees. Number 12 is a short par 5 dog leg that is reachable in 2 but there are many well placed trees and an elevated green with a mean slope and you'll be happy if you get your 5. There are a few holes where you can hit your drive as far as you can but most take some strategy off the tee. On 17 you can hit 220 yards straight away or 140 yards to the right side of the fairway and both will leave an open short iron shot to the green... if you avoid two beautiful oaks and a wide creek on that tee shot. The par 3's are gorgeous and the two on the back are included in the 3 hardest on the back nine handicap chart. Stevens Park is a favorite, great taquitos in the snack bar too.

"Martinuque Homes"
This course is probably one of the nicest ones I've ever played! - I MEAN IT!!! The greens were very well kept, the clubhouse was delightful, and my wife loved your fairways! I played here, once,-back in the 60's, but it was quite different then. (To be honest it looks allot smaller, and I don't remember there being any Homes so near the course?) We WILL be back, this summer!

Children's Course, The
"Fun little course"
This is a great course to learn for kids, they have a good teaching staff that offers camps clinics and private lessons. My kids have all participated in them and have learned alot about life skills both on and off the course.
