Lynnwood is a very short course but that's it's only shortcoming. It is beautifully maintained, and feels more like a club than a muni. The architect did a wonderful job, getting the most out of the limited available space. Water and sand traps are well placed, adding much interest to the layout. I always leave this course in a good mood. Recommended.

This course should be written up in the national mags for how to make use of land. How they compressed an 18-hole course into such a small area and still maintain uniqueness and variety from hole to hole is beyond me. There is really only one hole that I use driver on, so that could be a turnoff for those who like to grip it and rip it on every tee box. But I find that I score better here with lots of three- and five-woods off the tee. Average golfers and above will not get much practice with long irons, but you can really improve your mid- and short-iron game. Greens are true and sizeable. Amazing course for the land it sits on, and one in which every Washington golfer should visit.

For what it is; a tight, short public course, it is beautifully designed and gives a golfer a great chance to work on most aspect of his or her game without much cash outlay. It is an excellant winter course, and the greens are well kept. You can break out your driver on some interesting par 4's and you must shape your shots to stay in the short stuff because the fairways are narrow, and though the trees are playable you CANNOT get over them. Leave your 3 wood in the trunk and break out the 7 or 9 wood you've been too macho to try.
