This VA Hospital course is for the use of patients, employees and volunteer personnel. Guests of those qualified are also invited to play, and the green fee indicated pertains to them. It is a short nine hole course that is used for patient rehabilitation purposes. It is an excellent course for beginners. There are no sand bunkers, but there is a creek that comes into play on several holes. There are no slope or course ratings for either of the tees shown. The ladies' tee shown is a variation of the 3,120 yard tee.

Great deal!, May 07, 2004

The course has been under professional golf course care for the last 7 years after Bernards Township assumed management responsibility. They added irrigation in 2003. In general the course is in great shape. Recent hole alignemnts and creative cutting have increased the length of play and overall challenge. It remains a great place for beginners, duffers and seniors. The course is only open to hospital staff, hospital volunteers and town residents. However, the waiting list for membership is several seasons long. Well worth the wait

Whispering Oaks Golf & Country Club
"OUTSTANDING VALUE"
Played it many times. Expansive layout, well manicured, nice greens. A little dry at times, but thats the neighborhood. Recent updates such as massive waste-bunkers installed in various locations make it attractive, looks expensive. A very fun course to play. Better than 2 or 3 other courses in the area. Water holes are a challenge and beautifully presented. But don't tell anybody, I like the course to myself. Going back Feb 3rd to the 13th 2004.

Antelope Valley Country Club

Antelope Valley CC golf course is a fun and challenging experience. Wind makes the course play tough in the afternoon. It is realitively flat and provides the abilility to walk with little difficulty. Many challenging holes, several with water, and views of the local desert and Joshua Trees are great. The amenities of the club are first rate. New clubhouse, staff that is freindly and attentive, and quality food and beverages all help to make a great golfing experience.

This is a wonderful course, beautifully maintained all around. The only possible knock is that if you haven't been playing for very long then it might be too difficult to you. None the less, its a must play for anyone who gets the chance.
