This course features narrow fairways, so shot accuracy is at a premium. The greens are small, fast, and undulating. There are mature trees lining the fairways that will make you alter your shots. Man-made ponds come into play throughout the course. Guests are only allowed to play if accompanied by a member.

blackhawk has carefully placed bunkers on every hole to make up for the lack of water on the course. The hole variety is great and also challenges every golfer no matter how far you can hit the ball. It is in pristine conditiomn and the greens roll true and wicked fast. GO play balckhawk if you havnt already this season.

Clubhouse and staff are excellent. The golf course is another story. It seems as though they got to a certain point, miscounted how many holes they had already built and had to scrunch in the last 5 holes. The nines should be reversed as the current last 5 holes leaves much to be desired for a good finish.

Don't get lazy, even in the fairway overhanging limbs from the beautiful, mature trees will always keep you thinking.

This golf course is among the finest in the Madison area. The course weaves through many of the old trees that inhabit the small village of Shorewood. The condition of the golf course is impecable and out standing. There is no reason to rate this course lower than a 4.

This course is EXCELLENT, it just has an all around great course with many exciting and challenging courses. Also, staff was GREAT, they were very quick on any request I had, Even when I was a guest! They were also very nice to my 15 year old son and helped him with his golfing experience.
