The front nine only has one hole(the 3rd) that is wide open, the rest, including the back nine,is very tight and tree covered. A driver, for the average player, should ony be used once on the back nine( # 11) or possibly on #13, if you can control it because you can drive the green from the white tees. It can be a very difficult course to play, but no real change between fairway and rough.

"Hidden Golf Jewel In the Ozarks"
The Twin Lakes Golf Course is an 18 hole par 70 course with tree lined fairways and bentgrass greens. This is a semi-private course opeerated by its over 350 members. The course is open to the public on a daily fee basis. Visitors to the Twin Lakes area find this challenging course a delight. The information provided about this site on golfable.com is dated. The course has experienced significant upgrades in the last few years and provides a challenge for those used to wide open courses. This is an executive course on steroids! I dare you to try to shoot par on this course or let alone your handicap. Comparing this course to the full size courses in the area, it's greens and fairways are in incredible shape. I love playing this course and by the way, it's fully lit. I've played golf at 11:30 pm. How many people can say that!!! Hope this was helpful to everyone.
