Mountain Valley Golf Course - Maple/Oak CourseBurma Rd Mahanoy City, PA 17948 Phone: (570)467-2242Fax: (570)467-0441
This facility offers three nine hole courses that are played in three eighteen hole combinations. The Oak is the oldest of the trio, featuring tight fairways and an extremely scenic layout. The signature hole is #3, a 175-yard, par 3, which plays over a pond to a tiered green. The Pine Course, with its mountainous terrain, opens up quite a bit, yet still provides a challenge. The Maple Course offers a happy medium between the two other courses and is highlighted by plenty of elevation change. The greens on all three courses are large and well-undulating.

| A beautiful course. All three nines present a different challange, so all, from the novice to the experienced are assured of a great day of golf. The entire staff here goes above and beyond to make every aspect of your day here a very pleasent experience. The pro shop is well stocked and the staff there very freindly and helpful. The resturant and it's staff are also way above average. The greenskeepers, even the fellows who take care of the carts all contribute to make this one of the nicest, if not the nicest, courses in N.E. PA. All in all, a great course to spend your day at. |

| Course was originally 18 but 9 new holes were added in the last few years. The three nines, oak, pine, and maple are all challenging with tight tree lined fairways with generous sized greens with a fair bit of undulation. Huge elevation changes on some holes offer great views of the surrounding PA countryside. Although not the longest course, although some holes are quite long it is easily the most difficult in the region due to the tightness and difficult putting greens. The greens are always in great condition so the difficulty I have with putting is assuredly not the course, It's all mine. Great value too, and a friendly and helpful staff makes these three nine hole courses a must when in the area. |
