This visually stunning course is located at approximately 8,000 feet in the eastern Sierra Nevada Range. There are spectacular views of the mountains and the Mammoth Mountain ski area from many holes. The course has very narrow fairways that are lined by mature trees, so accuracy is a must. The areas under the trees are brush-free, though, so if golfers stray from the fairways they will still be able to find the ball. The undulating greens average 5,500 square feet. Some are multi-tiered. Many of the tees and greens are elevated. Streams cross some fairways, while a large lake also comes into play on the course. There are numerous sand bunkers, both on the fairways and around the greens, which often come into play. A course favorite is #10, a 555-yard, par 5, which has an exceptional view of the mountains. Golfers will find hole #17, which has a dogleg right fairway, one of the most difficult. Although this hole is only 365 yards, the landing area off the tee is very narrow and one will need at least a 190-yard drive in order to pass the trees and have an unobstructed shot to the green. Also, there is a stream that parallels the right side of the fairway.

| Beautiful course with excellent views of the Sierras. Your ball will fly 2 clubs further here, so beware. A relatively short course, but the trees play a role in your game. Demands short, accurate irons and well-placed drives. Greens are medium fast. All in all, a fun course to play - as long as your ball flies straight. PS- watch out for deers and bears in the early mornings |
