This executive eighteen hole course is extremely hilly. The fairways are narrow and well bunkered, and the greens are sloped. The course has one par 5, five par 4's and the rest are difficult par 3's. There are water hazards that come into play on four holes.

poorly mantained tee boxes are all sand and sand traps are like playing on a cart path if it rains stay away for 3-4 days unless you like mud. no driving range. no pro shop to speak of. been playing there for over 9 yrs in the last 2 the course has gone down hill other county courses are much better.

This course is a really good tune up course. It is maintained well, and you can work on all aspects of your game. Moreover, your short game!

"My first course"
I grew up playing MCC. The main criticism of the track has always been that you never get a flat lie, which is often enough true, but a weak criticism nonetheless. When typically fast the greens are challenging (hint: everything breaks toward the ocean); on #13, if you don't keep it below the hole, any putt you don't sink will wind up all the way at the bottom. The course favors a longer driver, and offers plenty of challenge and opportunity for creativity. And you can't beat the view of the Pacific.

"The New Miacomet"
Welcome to the new Miacomet!! Complete with 9 new golf holes capturing the essence of links golf. This Massachusetts island has a new name in public golf. This new layout if the wind is blowing is going to be a real challenge. The elevated tees give you a great look at fairway and positioning. The trick is to hit it there with the accuracy needed to conquer a 20 to 30 mile an hour wind. The golf staff were very professional in the running of the shop. Superb lessons provided by Mike's staff. State of the art lessons with Rob. Fantastic!! Bill Affinito's group are learning the paths and new roads that service the new course. Great job. And the new general manager, Alan Costa, fantastic, hard working, creative. The food service is top notch. come try the new course on Nantucket.
