This course has two dogleg fairways, and two lakes which come into play on three holes. The front nine was built on semi-rolling terrain and has narrow fairways. The back nine is long and was built on flat terrain. Locals say this is a well-maintained course. The greens are fast. The ladies' par is actually 75.

THE FAIRWAYS ARE IN POOR SHAPE. SAND TRAPS ARE NEVER RACKED. YOUR GROUND STAFF NEED TO BE MORE IN TUNE WITH GOLF. YOUR PRACTICE PUTTING GREEN IS A JOKE. THE CLUB HOUSE STAFF IS VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. THE COST OF AN ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP IS TOO HIGH FOR THE CONDITION OF THE COURSE. WITH A LITTLE MONEY AND WORK, YOUR COURSE COULD BE THE BEST IN RICHLAND COUNTY. IT IS A SIN THAT YOU HAVE LET THE CONDITION OF YOUR COURSE DETERIORATE. HOWEVER, THE LAST TIME THAT I PLAYED THE COURSE, THERE WERE SIGNS OF IMPROVEMENT ON THE COURSE. KEEP YOUR CLUB STAFF, FOR THEY ARE THE ONLY THING THAT YOU HAVE WORKING FOR YOU AT THIS TIME.

Course is well-maintained. Moreover, the staff goes out of their way to accomondate players. This "twin approach" to golfing patrons makes for an enjoyable round of golf!

High Ridge Country Club
"Breathtaking"
This very exclusive club is one of the best i've ever played on. Not excessively long, but very challenging. The course was in impeccable shape, and 16 of the 18 holes could be signature holes. If you ever get a chance to play this beatiful track, jump at it.

"Beautiful and challenging old-style course"
This a beautiful, scenic golf course which will challenge every golfer, regardless of handicap. The maturity of this course, which includes huge oak trees and large shade trees, gives the impression of walking in a park, with the added enjoyment of playing golf. Even though the length of the course is short by modern standards, that is where the challenge lies. Drives must be accurate, and pitch shots precise. The greens are deceptive and fast, and are well-bunkered. The clubhouse is very well-planned, with great views of the course from the men's lounge and dining room areas. The men's locker room has been remodeled, and I guarantee that Luis, the locker room chief, will never forget your name. He is a wonder. One golfing visit to this club will make you wish you could live in the area so that you could apply for membership -- it is a memorable golfing experience.

Redstone Golf Course - Hillside/Meadowview Course
"The Arsenal Courses"
Hillside and Meadowview are generally better than Whispering Pines. Each nine has its own character. Hillside was renovated in 2001. For the low price the courses are pretty good. The fairways are pretty wide, some, but not a lot of trouble, although there are a few very challenging holes on each nine. The ninth on Hillside used to be a par four, so its fun for us duffers to play a par five that we can reach in two evry once in a while. The ninth on Meadowview requires a good drive over water, # 7 is a 192 par three with a green that is not very deep but very wide.The course is kept in pretty good condition yearround. Not much water or sand.
