This hilly course is best known for its narrow fairways and a reputation for playing fair. The signature hole is #17, a 286-yard, par 4, because of its fantastic beauty and scenic vistas. Water hazards come into play on several holes. Norman Woods added the back nine to this course, and Robert Muir Graves redesigned the entire course in 1986.

Narrow Fairways and poor greens, Jul 06, 2006 |

| This course may seem easy at first glance but with the very narrow fairways and loads of trees it can eat you up. Greens are not always in very good condition |

| This golf course is not for the golfer it is for the HOMEOWNERS! The course is to tight due to the greed of the original developers, you know who you are. The only thing good about this course is the greens, so if you want to practice your putts go to Lake Wilderness. |

| Lake Wilderness is a fairly short course with small, excellently maintained greens, and narrow fairways. There are a ton of houses on the course, so be careful if you hit into their yards. If you're not polite, they'll bite your head off. |

Good targeted golf layout, Feb 12, 2004 |

| Likes: This is a good test of any golfers skill. It requires you to think and plan from the tee. Golfers who like to pull out "The Big Dog" and grip it and rip it on every hole will not like this course. The course forces you to play smart to score well. There are risk/reward holes worth the gamble, and others that attempt to sucker you. If you play smart you can score well at Lake Wilderness. If not, it may be a long day. This is a shorter course. The clubhouse has good food and good beer. Dislikes: Only one really. I don't care for holes where there are houses close. This course has a handful of them. |
