This scenic countryside course was built on hilly terrain. The front nine was cut out of a pecan grove, and the back nine contains numerous water hazards, including the last three holes, which require shots over water. Hole #16, a 375-yard, par 4, calls for an approach shot over water, #17, 175-yard, par 3, requires a tee shot over water, and #18, a 542-yard, par 5, requires both a tee shot and an approach over water.
